The Dawn rug is the softest in the Mark Krebs assortment. This shag rug has been hand-knotted, which means each yarn has been tied individually by hand. Hand knotting is a skillful and laborious process, but the result is an incredibly soft and long-lasting tapestry.

Materials

100% New Zealand Wool

New Zealand wool is one of the softest wool available.

From afar, the Dawn rug looks to be a solid colour, but its shag is made of a tri-colour blend. This, combined with the shadows the shag produces, creates deep colour complexity.

Technique

Hand knotting is a skillful and laborious process, but the result is an incredibly soft and long-lasting tapestry. The Half Moon rug has been hand-knotted, which means each yarn has been tied individually by hand. Unlike tufted rugs, hand-knotted rugs do not use glue to hold in the strings and do not pull out over time.

This rug is of a quality that will last for generations when left in the hands of a mindful steward.

01. Professional dry cleaning is your best bet

02. Feel confident about blotching spills with a damp cloth

03. Take a vacuum to it regularly

04. If you see a loose yarn, resist the urge to pull! Snip off the excess with sharp scissors

05. Rug pads rule, we recommend using one

In-store & Curbside Pick-up

Curbside Pickup

Items in stock at our brick & mortar location will be available for pickup within 2 hours of order placement. Please note that the cut-off time is 3 pm for same-day pickup. When placing your order after 3 pm, we cannot guarantee same-day service, and your order will be ready the following day when we reopen.

Please bring your confirmation # or email with a valid piece of ID to collect your purchase. [ ah-bohd ] Home Store will include further instructions for managing your pickup in the confirmation email.

In-Store Availability

In-stock products on our website are available for immediate purchase and at [ah-bohd] Home Store. Select lighting, furniture and rugs are also available in-store for immediate purchase. [ ah-bohd ] Home Store has constantly evolving vignettes with an exclusive collection of products at our brick & mortar location.

Many large-scale items on ah-bohd.ca may be available for viewing in our showroom and are considered floor models, yet do not show stock availability on our website. Many of our floor models are not for immediate purchase from the floor but suppose you see a floor model you like; we will be happy to order you a new one.

Alternatively, we offer floor model sales randomly throughout the year, where you can pick up that favourite find for a great deal.

You can contact us ahead of time to inquire about the availability of an object on our showroom floor for purchase or viewing.

NOTE: Please note that if you have items in your cart that are eligible for different shipping or delivery options, your cart will default to one of the available options. If you wish to have an item eligible for shipping shipped, you will have to create individual carts to make this happen. Alternatively, suppose you want delivery and have an item(s) with shipping or in-store pick-up; in that case, you will be able to have all items delivered if they qualify for delivery. Almost all items are available for free in-store pick up at ah-bohd Home Store.

ah-bohd Home Store wishes to make your online shopping experience as pleasant as possible. Processing and packaging your in-stock items quickly and efficiently is our goal. We aim to ship each in-stock item within one business day of order placement.

For items that are currently not in stock and tagged as a preorder, you will be notified with a stock date, and we will ship the item(s) within one business day of receiving the item at ah-bohd Home Store from our supplier.

Currently, we only offer to ship within Canada. Free local pick-up is available for all our in-stock products, and we offer free local white glove delivery within our delivery radius. We will be happy to quote delivery outside our free delivery radius at sales@ah-bohd.ca.
