Created in collaboration with Ashtari Carpets, the Dunes rug is a study in texture, craft, and quiet sophistication. Each piece is hand-knotted using the traditional Persian technique to deliver a looser, high-pile finish that feels wonderfully soft underfoot—casual yet refined, grounding yet elevated.

Crafted from 100% locally sourced, hand-spun sheep wool, every rug carries its own character. Subtle variations in colour, texture, and size are inherent to the handmade process, and we consider these nuances a mark of authenticity and uniqueness. The natural oil content of the wool ensures exceptional durability, making it resistant to dirt and moisture while maintaining its luxurious feel over time.

The piece shown in stock is our showroom floor model and is available for in-person viewing, but not for purchase at this time. This item may be preordered, with a newly made piece delivered to our showroom for pickup.

Due to the hand-created nature of this rug, each piece will vary slightly in size, colour, and texture. We believe these natural imperfections add to its charm and uniqueness.

Care & Maintenance

Regular Care
Shedding may occur during the first few months and will gradually diminish with routine vacuuming. This is not a defect. Vacuum regularly using longer strokes to avoid excessive back-and-forth motion. Be mindful of edges and corners, as these areas are more delicate.

Stain Care
Attend to liquid spills immediately by blotting with a clean white cloth. Remove solid matter by gently scraping with a spoon—do not rub. For stains, use a clean, damp cloth with warm water and natural soap. Avoid hot water, steam, harsh chemicals, salt, or vinegar, as these can damage the dye.

Professional Cleaning
For stubborn stains, we recommend dry cleaning by a professional specializing in rugs or carpets.

Complimentary local white glove delivery and setup is available within a 3-hour radius of our store—including areas such as Toronto, Ottawa, and surrounding regions.
Shipping outside our local delivery area is now available and will be quoted on a case-by-case basis. Please email sales@ah-bohd.ca for a personalized shipping quote.
Local in-store pickup remains available for most in-stock items.

Curbside Pickup

Most in-stock items at our brick-and-mortar location will be available for pickup within 4 hours of order placement. Please note that the cut-off time for same-day pickup is 3 p.m. When placing your order after 3 p.m., we cannot guarantee same-day service, and your order will be ready the following day when we reopen.

Please bring your confirmation # or email with a valid piece of ID to collect your purchase. [ ah-bohd ] Home Store will include further instructions for managing your pickup in the confirmation email.

Once you receive notification that your item(s) are ready, please collect your order within 7 business days. After this time, a weekly storage fee may apply.

In-Store Availability

Most in-stock products on our website are available for immediate purchase at [ah-bohd] Home Store. Select lighting, furniture, and rugs are also available in-store for immediate purchase. [ ah-bohd ] Home Store has constantly evolving vignettes with an exclusive collection of products at our brick-and-mortar location.

Many large-scale items on ah-bohd.ca may be available for viewing in our showroom and are considered floor models. They show stock availability on our website. Many of our floor models are only for limited time purchase from the floor, but if you see a floor model you like, we will be happy to order you a new one.

Alternatively, we offer floor model sales randomly throughout the year, where you can pick up that favourite find for a great deal.
